Long before Reiki came to Japan from the West, Chiyoko Yamaguchi Sensei had first hand contact with the original Reiki techniques of Mikao Usui Sensei and Dr. Hayashi. In 1999 she finally founded the Jikiden Reiki Institute together with her son Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei to keep alive her experience.

Chiyoko Yamaguchi great Japanese Reiki Master who had learned Reiki from Dr. Hayashi at the age of 17 and kept on practicing in her daily life for more than 65 years, passing on her wealth of insights and experience to the world through teachings with Jikiden Reiki Institute’s teachers.
